Sorry I had to skip Fire Friday, I wasn't feeling anything out right now that's worth talking about -- at least nothing that I'm not going to mention today. (Did ya go get some of that nasty Masta Ace? Hope so!) The topic of this weeks Don't Sleep Saturday segment is exactly what the title says; I'm really feeling the shit some of the veterans are dropping these days -- specifically from Raekwon and Kool G Rap. If you don't already know, these lyrical monsters are both working on new albums. For Raekwon, it'll be “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II”, Raekwon's fourth solo LP effort and a follow up to the critically acclaimed certified classic “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.” Does anyone doubt that album will be nuts? News has it since Raekwon got snagged up by Dr. Dre, Dre will be doing a lot of production work on it, so we can at least expect the beats to be on point. In regard to Kool G Rap, his new LP is set to be released in March '07 and will be titled “Half a Klip.” I'm anticipating Kool G's LP more but I'm expecting both to be insane.

Both of these artists have been releasing some crazy tracks. The first cut here (left) is Raekwon's "Trees" from Natural Selection 2.0. The second track listed below (right) is Kool G Rap's "What's More Realer than That" from his new album. As far as I know, this isn't an official single from Kool G. Enjoy.
