no no, im not the idiot here, ur the one that thinks the only reason an album is ever taken off the shelf is because of bad sales ....

*brings out the examples of albums bein taken of the shelf for reasons other than sales which apparently do not exist*

MF DOOM - Operation DOOMsday was pulled from the shelf due to copyright infringement. DOOM used Marvel character Dr. Doom on the front cover without the permission of the company and the album there fore had to be pulled of the shelf.

Pharoh Monch - Internal Affairs album has to be pulled from the shelf by the distributor after it was found that the sample used on the lead single Simon Says (taken from the movie Godzilla) was not cleared.

Ras Kass - Goldyn Chyld did not even get as far as being pulled off the shelf as it wasnt even allowed to be released in 2002 due to a clash over the lead single

im done with u now little fellow, keep thinkin what ever in the name of fuck it is u want to about sales bein the only reason albums are dropped and w/e else it is that makes u feel warm and fuzzy inside. my advice to u however would be to expand ur knowledge a bit before takin on some one that clearly knows what they are talkin about where as u urself only think u know

now, if ur talkin about albums goin out of print, thats usually a different matter, they can go out of print when there is conflict between label and artist over things (not neccisarily sales), legal issues such as breach of copyright or if the label folds
