DJ Whoo Kid & Obie Trice

I'm disappointed at the general public of Hip-Hop for not noticing Obie Trice's talent. Maybe the industry's against Obie because as most people might remember how the video for Snitch (Feat. Akon) got banned on MTV and BET. MTV has banned a couple of Hip-Hop/Rap videos before but, BET played him dirty by makin' up an excuse of how Eminem hasn't participated in any of the BET Awards and they won't play any video from a Shady Records Artist until he participates. So, Busta bring out Em as many people might remember. But, still Snitch got promotion on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in one of it's episode. Also his album bein' pushed back fucked his album sales up. Second Round's On Me deserved multi-platinum status and recognition but, it's a shame how this generation of Hip-Hop and the indsutry dosen't value and appreciate lyrics or an artist comin' hard. Those corporate conglomerates need to stop opposing the real lyrical content.

Prior to this mixtape releasing it had been pushed back/delayed due to some technical difficulties as it says on Whoo Kid's site http://www.shadyville.biz/. I think that's some BS or someone in the industry or RIAA is doin' it on purpose or maybe those 2 records Shady Baby - (Feat. Eminem) (Produced By Eminem) and Put Your Cups Up (Produced By Dr.Dre) got leaked by accident and weren't supposed to be on the mixtape because the final track listing doesn't have those 2 tracks and I think those 2 tracks are supposed to be on upcoming album Bottom's Up and because Shady Baby is the first single and also click on the link at the end of the blog post to listen to it.

Movin' on towards the mixtape, Obie is definitely the most underrated. He's one of those artists out there that's consistent with his lyrics and has kept true to the craft of bein' an MC. Obie reminds me of Jay-Z, he draws similar comparisons to as in flow, swagger, charisma, lyrically, and bein' able to dominate every track. It's one of the hottest mixtapes out in the streets right now. Everything's on point and it's quality album material all the tracks are great/hot. It's better then most of the albums that came out this year besides Black Milk's Popular Demand, Redman's Red Gone Wild, Evidence's The Weatherman LP, Young Buck's Buck The World, Devin The Dude's Waiting To Inhale, Sean Price's Jesus Price Supastar, and Talib Kweli & Madlib's Liberation If he remains consistent he's gonna be the next dangerous MC.
