This is the only place in the world where a fat, ugly drug dealer can become a star. His voice is mediocre and he wouldnt of got anywhere without poop diddy. The beats to the songs on this album are okay but are nothing special.Overall, this album lacks substance and creativity.Too many sampled parts in the music and poop diddys voice is annoying. He glorified violence and ignorance so thats what led to his demise. He is way overrated like 50 cent and eminem.DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!!!

That is, if I have to hear another minute of this cd I might just do something stupid... Yeah, I know what you're thinking and YES I did go there. You know what the Notorious B.I.G is? He's just another idiot that gets himself into gang-related problems and raps about it to get some "street cred" and then dies trying to leave a legacy and succeeds in the eyes of morons like you people that buy into this garbage. There's no real talent here, if I rapped about how the east side is cooler than the north side and gangs are "all talk no walk" then maybe i'd get some street cred! There's an idea, oh.... or how about NOT? Maybe it's hard to take in, maybe you're just thinking "oh, this guy has no idea what he's talking about, Biggie is my dawg" or maybe you just don't care at all. Whatever the circumstance, there's only one point I really want to make... I just wanted to say that

This album is horrible, full of all of Puff Daddy's blatant rip offs and 'samples' and Biggie's twisted and unfunny attempts at humor. None of the music is good, Biggie's voice is annoying, when I listen to him I can almost hear his arteries contract, and I actually can hear the fat on his extra chins swinging against his adam's apple, to give him his 'unique' sound.

Real rappers, don't waste your time and money with this CD. The tracks "Me and my b*tch" and "Juicy" are two of the LAMEST excuses for rap that I have ever heard. GANSTA???? This tuff guy wanna be talks a good game, but he ain sh@t on the street holmz. This fat, no talent slob should stick to doing something he is good at...like eating twinkies. This LAME album is a disgrace --- only proves that east coast rap is WEAK. Vanilla Ice is da real BOMB rappers!
Biggie fanz grow up, and don't be a bunch of whining foolz: this CD is LIMP! Fanz, my recommendation is that if you want to hear REAL def jamz that are da BOMB, try out the HOT Kenneth Keith Kallenbach album "YEAH!" It's TOTALLY phat.

First Of All, 2Pac Is Better than Biggie, he Rhymes Better than
biggie did. Also, Who Would put A Skit Like that on a Cd?
Biggie Is Horrible, 2Pac Is Good. But there's like one good song
on this album: Big Poppa. Otherwise, Don't Get This!!

Before anything else, Biggie was a crack dealer, plain and simple. Yes siree, this is a good example of how an "artist's" drug dealing... er, um "life's work" comes before his "art", and his fans. And maybe I just don't get the sordid, corrupt concept of "Gangsta Rap", but how can this man who made a profit off literally destroying peoples' lives have hold a "legacy" to leave his fans? It boggles the mind! I read a small bio on him at the IMDB saying that he was "surviving" the streets (in other words, profiting off the people he was killing with the drugs he was supplying them) the only way he knew how. Why'd Biggie continue to sell crack even AFTER he became famous? Or, how about a more important question: Why'd he even start selling in the first place when there were plenty of job openings at McDonald's and Burger King for him to apply to? Anyway, this leads into my review... OK, about the lyrics: I don't know what these other reviewers were listening to when they rated this trash five stars, but from what I heard in this album, "Ready to Die" is nothing but hate and oppression. I'm sure Biggie would like to say otherwise (but he can't since he was shot)... um yet there's no denying lyrics like 'You should be glad I MADE you MY wife' are VERY degrading in the context he uses them in. Oh, and by the way, the song that contains those lyrics is actually called "Me & My B**ch" (that's what it's called, please do not edit that), so there's no denying Biggie was a hate-filled misogamist. Geez, people, what is it with rappers constantly claiming ownership of "their" "women"? You can't own people, and you'd think these types of "Gangstas" would be against ownership of other human life, but they're not.
Just remember, rappers: You are what you are, NOT what you own.
There ya go... Thanks for reading!

I'm sorry but I had to give this man 2 stars. Let Me just say that this man will never be 2pac and therefore there is no comparison. You fools on the east coast just jock him cuz he was the closest thing to pac at that time. I think Jay-z is harder than big. Anyway, ready to die was an ok album but go cop some of pac's [...]. Every joint is a banger. You listen to this album they aren't bangers. Track 12 he talks about him and his bi*tch. What is that? Oh yea some creative master at work. 2pac broght the hood [...] into and the concious rap. It was always hard listening to that man's song. I just think that BIG was coo but he is way overrated. Even though you is from the east coast you can still admit that pac is better cuz its the truth pimpin. Ive said my piece west side till I die. Pac forever L Fam

Thiz iz not a good Cd at all, even if it iz Biggie's debut album. Tha only reason I didn't give it 1 star iz cuz it haz one good song on it- "Big Poppa." But thatz it. For tha tru rap fans tha two best Cds 2 buy R 2Pac's "All Eyez On Me" which won the award 4 tha 1996 best rap album of tha year and DMX's "Its Dark And Hell Is Hot"
