Talk about the new album why do you call it Screamin 4 Vengeance?

Man, because I’ve been silenced for a few years you heard me? So now I feel like it’s time for me to get back at it for whoever I need to get back at. I’m back in the game, back on the grind, so I’m screaming my mind with this record here.

You have a lot of respect in the streets and always have had a good fanbase in the hood. During the whole time you was silent how you think they will feel with you coming back out?

It feels good man, the whole time I was silent they was supporting me, sending me messages hollering at me. When I touched down they’ve been waiting so holla at your boy. For that you know I had to put my heart into this record bruh.

But speaking on “Screamin 4 Vengeance”, what’s the main vengeance you will be screaming about?

Man just basically the streets. You know the streets can turn on you and life can change in an instant. Definitely on this album you will get some crucial tracks from my people Deadly Sound Productions. My lyrical game stepped all the way up, it’s definitely a universal album, it’s definitely a universal record, ya heard me?

No doubt, The album is going to be crazy which I look forward too. The whole time you was silent what keep you motivated to keep writing so when you got back out you was hungry? Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames. P>

Motivation was just my life experiences bruh and me being a man, with always being a grinder and hustler. Not letting the one element take me under. My whole motivation for me was once I touched down I got something to prove. I got something to really put out there to the fans and something to prove to the new cats in the game. I got to let them know I’m coming back to get my spot, ya heard me?

Let’s talk about the early history. Everybody knows you was doing your thing with Master P with No Limit. How you feel about the impact ya’ll made on the New Orleans hip-hop scene?

It was good, we really was groundbreaking, and opened a lot of doors. We set blueprints up for the game marketing wise and promotional wise. You know they wasn’t really on the N.O. until we opened that door and now it’s all good. It’s a beautiful thing.

So would you say No Limit paved the way for everybody else like Cash Money?

Definitely, Cash Money was definitely doing they thing locally, but when we hit that national market that made a lot of majors get behind on the N.O. We made them come down there to see what’s really popping and snatch some of them.

What’s been good with your brother Master P lately?

Last time I heard they was doing a lot of unity stuff. Trying to keep positive on the positive note doing they thing in movies and stuff.

I see that your doing your thing as CEO of your record company. What will you do to bring your artist out more to the game?

Well you know I had to come out the gate with my solo project first and it had to be a real good project. It had to in order for me to pave the way for my record company, my next artist and my next group under Tru Records. The thing we was doing was focusing on my album and then it’s time to release a Tru Records album. Be looking for them soon.

So what made you decide when you started the label to call it Tru Records?

Man, because I rep the truth so hard I just couldn’t think of no other name for my label. I got truth tatted on me about eight, nine times, so for real it’s serious for me. It’s like it was meant to be for me to call my label Tru Records.

Even though you speak a lot of stories for the streets and everything your writing books now. You have the publishing deals and everything. Do you think it’s going to be harder to write the stories you tell about the streets in books aside from music?

You know it’s much more complicated, because it’s so many pages and stuff like that. It’s so many words and stuff like that you have aside from an album. You don’t want to keep talking about the same subjects and stuff like that. You have to keep the readers interested throughout the whole novel so once you got that process down pack it becomes natural to you. It’s definitely more difficult than writing 16 bars a song you know.

C-Murder tell me right now what will make you a good author?

Man, my first novel right off the gate Death Around The Corner”definitely got good reviews across the board. I got five stars on Amazon.com so that was a plus. We already working on a major picture to start filming for Death Around The Corner so it’s a success. What made a good author was my first novel out the gate I really took my time with it. I just didn’t get in there and just starting writing anything. I really did my research on how to write a novel, do’s and don’ts, stuff like that. Basically research and the talent gonna come out at the end of the day.

During the silence era, how many books would you say you read over that period of time?

Man, definitely over 500 straight up. I was doing a lot of reading, I was reading some books in one day you know.

Wow, but what made you want to get into all that, wanting to read books and getting all the knowledge quick?

Because once I started I enjoyed it so much I just couldn’t finish. I just couldn’t put the books down, it’s addictive. Once you find the right novel and start reading it you realize it takes your place. You can learn so much from these novels and stuff like that is addictive. You just want to keep reading and reading. When you finish this book you just want to pick up another one ASAP.

C-Murder you definitely a hustler! CEO of a label, new album out, you writing books now, you grinding!

I’m grinding brotha and I ain’t gonna stop either. That’s just the hustler mentality in me, dawg.

C-Murder appreciate the love for the number site in the game Sixshot.com. Good look on everything that your doing, we gonna show you love. Throw out a final message and how the fans can reach you?

Holla at me on myspace.com/cmurder and if it’s something for Tru Publishing hit me on trupublishing.com.
