Game headline the Roc tha Block national tour which kicks off tonight [08/28/07] at Vodafone Arena.

"Australia is the home of the convicts so it's the last place I would have ever thought it would be a problem," he said.

Akon was granted a visa despite his criminal history, including five years' jail for drug and theft offences.

"I've been on the road for three years and it's the first time I've had this problem."

Akon and fellow rapper The Game headline the Roc tha Block national tour which kicks off tonight at Vodafone Arena.

Last month the Herald Sun reported Akon had simulated sex acts on stage with an underage girl in Trinidad, and thrown a boy off stage in another concert.

But the Senegal-born rapper said reports of his on-stage antics were misleading.

"All that stuff was definitely blown out of proportion," Akon said.
