09/17/07 - News On Banks Cd (RUMORS)
Word is, his new cd is gonna be called Gang Green. Its said to be a double disc, and a song that will feature both Jay-Z and Nas. Now if true, this could be a huge deal for all of hip hop. Now I didnt hear this for myself, but its said to have been said by none other than 50 Cent himself, during some interviews he did during promotion for his newest album Curtis. And Sha Money XL had the following to say about it:
Sha is predicting big things for the album Banks is currently cooking up. “The album he’s working on is amazing and he’s coming back like Jay-Z after ‘Sunshine,’” he said. “[Sometimes] you get that one album that don’t connect, but Banks’ fans is still with him. He’s still touring and doing shows like sh– is all the way right. He’s coming to beat their heads in — he on some lyrical exercise. Like I said, if true, this is bigger than Kanye and 50 dropping on the same day, this is G-Unit and Jay-Z, and Nas beef ending and all of them getting together, and at the same time, G-Unit and most of Dipset getting together. Banks Is From Ny, And He Reps Ny To The Fullest With His Albums. Whats More Ny Than Jay-z And Nas? He Already Had Rakim On His Last Album. Banks Must Got Something Big Planned, The G-unit Album Is Gonna Set Him Up For His Solo Probably, Thats How It Was Supposed To Be With The Grodt Soundtrack, But Banks Shit Got Leaked And They Put Out Mobb Deep Instead.
