Big Lou has finished recording his first mixtape under DJ Kay Slay and the Street Sweepers label. The production is due out next week. All tracks have been recorded and are now being mixed and mastered. The new release will be titled "Playtime is Over."

Big Lou also found himself in the recording studio with Aftermath' Joell Ortiz. Joell invited Big Lou to record a collaboration. The release "Latin Assassins" has hit radio airwaves, and is currently on major radio stations Fans can hear the track on Big Lou's MySpace page.

"The response to Lou's collaboration with Joell Ortiz is just astonishing. This entire month has been incredible," stated Frank Urban, Big Lou's manager.

Busta Rhymes also worked with Big Lou. The track "Shining" is also on Big Lou's MySpace website.

Joell Ortiz' album "The Brick (Bodega Chronicles)" features Big Daddy Kane, Styles P, Immortal Technique, MOP, Ras Kass, Noyd, Graph and Stimuli, plus production by The Alchemist, Showbiz (DITC), Fame of M.O.P., Moss and more.
