Obie Trice is making no qualms about it. He wants to be on the radio. He wants to be invited to award shows. He wants to make a "Song of the Year" candidate. He's ready for what he refers to as a "transition."

He has already started working on his next project, tentatively titled Bottom's Up. The album title cleverly follows the pattern set by his earlier releases Cheers and Second Round's On Me. Now it seems that he has his sights set on breaking through, even more than he has already.

As he talks of branching out, he has already started working with Daz. He's also in touch with Tony Draper (former CEO of Suave House and current manager of Clipse) in order to help with this transition.

"I'm in the makings with him about doing some management [for me]...We working some things out. It's a good look. He knows a lot of people and knows how to move things around. He's been out here for a minute, so that's a good look as far as I go. I'm just trying to branch out and get in this game correctly," he noted before expanding on the topic.

"I don't really know a lot of artists — I'm in Detroit...It's not Atlanta, where everybody is everywhere, or L.A. or somewhere like that. I actually think it's time for me to start branching off and start connecting with cats. Getting my collaboration on and working with some hot producers — unknown and known — and just make them joints that feel good and that are radio. I just want to make that transition."

Obie's wishlist of acts, as revealed to MTV, involved high profile guests for his album. This wishlist includes singers/producers such as Akon and Jazze Pha, as well as rappers Eminem, Young Buck and Devin the Dude.

He doesnt have the right push because eminem doesnt push the artists on his label like he does himself or 50....Obie is a really good artist in my opinion and Em needs to do more to put him into the mainstream.

obie trice never has had the hype like alot of artists. But i have my own hype for his albums, and i cant wait for Bottoms up!

He's one of my favorite rappers, but he needs to step his game up, he's doin good music and everything around it but he really needs to be heard on more records, like everybody wants Lil Wayne or Jay-Z as a feature
