RJD2 - the third Hand

and

EL-P - I'll sleep when you're dead.

I was really disappointed with RJ’s album, people have been telling me he kinda went off the deep end with this one, that it wasn’t even Hip Hop, but fuck that just made me want to check it out even more, sadly though it was pretty meh, even for $8 I feel like I could have spent that money on something much better, it’s a real letdown considering how dope his earlier work was. I would say a 5-6/10

EL-P on the other hand delivered a much better album then I expected, it doesn’t feel as cluttered as Fan Dam, his beats are a little more toned down and easier to tolerate. I still wish he wouldnt do his (in Eso’s words) “Run On Sentence Rap” style so much, half the time I miss what he’s saying just cause it all runs together, like dude just never stops, overall though Im really feeling this album, and im sure it’ll grow on me even more as time go’s by. 8/10 seems about right.

Fuck the haters, def jux is dope. I've been wanting to check out that RJD2 album but haven't had the chance to peep out either of the 2 albums.

P.S.... I possibly had the best CD transaction ever a few nights ago. I went to Rasputins at 10:45pm and spent $15+ total on 2 cd's : LL Cool J - Radio and Rakim - the 18th Letter ... both brand new. Both albums, for some reason, were only $6.99 each. I had copies of them both before they both "magically" disappeared.

Omg, I really feel sad for any pathetic new jack that actually likes this whack nerdy Def Jux shit. Def Jux is sooooo fuckin' whack. They all spit nerdy, chessy, whack, shit. It is far from dope, any REAL Hip Hop head will tell you that. Fuck a Def Jux, shit is nerdy as a m'fucka.
