lol, how could I hate Lupe for being a nerd? almost all the music I listen to is Nerd Rap, you seem to forget im the number one supporter of Def Jux. Lupe is corny though, dude trys to hard to be abstract. He talks all this shit about how he doesnt agree with hip hop culture and doesnt like how everyone curse's and says bitch, talks about selling drugs, ect. Dude seems to forget that hip hop has its roots in that, to say he doesnt like that is to say he doesnt like the very essence of hip hop. he's not a rapper, he's a beatnick college kid trying his hardest to milk the hip hop market (which he most clearly doesnt like for the most part anyways) for everything its worth.

than the same can apply for many MCs out there that like to bump heads with the norm of hip-hop. there's nothing wrong with providing your opinions via hip-hop. hip-hop originated on those... sure. but it's entered a new stage right now where life includes so much more (well.. concerning hip-hop life). Back then people depended on that hustle and hip-hop to get by... but that's not the case now. He's just voicing his concern IMO.... it's not like he's saying anything about hip-hop being misleading or negative because of that... he just stating his opinions.. he probably has his own mentality on how hip-hop should've started... just like many people out there (not just rappers).
