Little Brother, Mick Boogie Leak New Mixtape

Little Brother leaked their latest mixtape Monday (February 12) at midnight, allowing fans and hip-hop fans a chance to hear their newest material.

The new mixtape the duo put together with Mick Boogie, titled And Justus For All, features collaborations with Ray Cash, Bishop Lamont, Skillz, Talib Kweli, Kardinal Offishall and Rhymefest, among others.

DJ Mick Boogie, who was the point man behind the tape, says its a classic.

"I'm more so acting as an A&R than a DJ on this project," Mick Boogie told BallerStatus in a statement. "I've been choosing beats and talking to different artists about collaborating on the project. It's finally done and it's a classic."

"Mick Boogie is one of the most talented, dedicated, and underrated DJ's on the planet. It's been an honor working with dude as we have both been admirers of each other for a minute," added Big Pooh. "Most people know that we, Little Brother, don't churn out too many mixtapes, but when we do, we like to make classic joints and this will be another."

Unlike most mixtapes where an artists freestyles over the hottest beats at the present moment, And Justus For All is all fresh new music, according to Little Brother member Phonte, as they prepare their next official release, Get Back.

"I don't do the 'freestyle' thing to often, because honestly, rapping over other n----s' instrumentals bores me. I'd rather make something fresh," said Phonte. "That's what this is, fresh new music and recently released LB tracks to get people ready for Get Back."

The new mixtape is available for download on both Little Brother's Myspace page at MySpace.com/LittleBrother, as well as Mick Boogie's Myspace page, MySpace.com/MickBoogie.

The group -- which originally consisted of Big Pooh, Phonte and producer 9th Wonder -- was recently cut down to a duo, when 9th Wonder decided to split form the trio, so all members could move forward in their careers (see "9th Wonder Parts Ways With Little Brother").

Additionally, Little Brother also announced that they were negotiating their release from Atlantic Records.
