Wu Tang & Rage Against the Machine Headline 2007 ROCK THE BELLS!

First they reunited the Wu-Tang in 2004, then A Tribe Called Quest. Now, Guerilla Union's Rock The Bells music festival is poised to make history once again, announcing Monday (February 26) that rock band Rage Against The Machine have signed on to headline three exclusive engagements for the festival, two with the Wu-Tang Clan.

The epic line-up will see Rage join Wu-Tang for two dates on the West Coast (August 11 at the NOS Events Center, San Bernardino, CA; and August 18 in San Francisco), and for Rock The Bells' inaugural venture into New York City (July 28 at Randall's Island) for their only scheduled appearance on the eastern seaboard this year.

The Wu-Tang Clan's performance will be in support of their forthcoming album, 8 Diagrams.

Rock The Bells, presented by Guerilla Union since 2003, has established itself as a world-class hip-hop platform by hosting legendary performances by Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Lauryn Hill, Blackstarr (Talib Kweli and Mos Def), Cuban Linx, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Cypress Hill and Jurassic, 5 as well as reuniting Wu-Tang for their last performance with ODB in 2004. This year, the festival will keep in its tradition and showcase the very best the genre has to offer, according to Guerilla Union founder, Chang Weisberg.

"It's definitely our fans' dream billing," exclaimed Weisberg. "It's a tremendous honor to have Rage Against The Machine and Wu-Tang Clan perform together. I can't wait to announce the rest of the line-up for Rock the Bells. It's incredibly important to put some shine on quality hip-hop. The opportunity to galvanize the social and political consciousness of these groups is undeniable."

Rock The Bell's complete line-up will be announced March 26th and tickets will go on-sale March 31st.

I don't see why it would be a 21+ up thing. Last year, it was all ages except for the V.I.P. section, which is the only place that served alcohol.

$6 for a mixed drink isn't bad at all. Mixed drinks are usually $6-8 at bars, clubs and restaurants in the first place. But I'd rather drink beer or take shots, instead of drinking bitch drinks out of a straw (beer >> mixed drinks)

The stands I saw weren't selling beer. But the venue itself sells 24oz coronas or like $10

.. those things cost $3.00 at the liquor store .. fuck a 24 oz, you can buy a 40 (steel reserved) for like $2 and change
