Sean Price-Jesus Price Superstar.... the irish lush took to long

Aiite so this is my second review ive ever done so be easy, my duddies.

Intro - From the opening track sean p lets the listener know whose album this is...P. The beat has a nice sound to it with a trumpet some grimey kicks that accompany a melodic tamberine sound. Sean p mainly rhymes about how dope he is and the best part is when he starts talking like a mex "welcome to mi casa, homes." Rating 4/5

Like You - The beat for this song is on some 70's detective show tip. The voice sample is nicely used and accentuates the beat well. Sean P doesnt expand on his subject matter and rhymes about how dope he is and how he doesn't dine on swine (word!). The hook for the song is aiite, i guess. Rating 3.5/5

Line that made me laugh:
"Wu tang clan aint nuttin ta fuck with, Boot Camp Clik aint nuttin to wu tang"

P-Body - This is probably one of my favorite songs on the album. Rockness comes in so dope on the hook of this song using alliteration to emphasize the battle rhyme type hook. You know the song is gonna be a banger right when you hear the skratch sample "You know what im sayin, this is me... P" Sean P uses the beat to rhyme about how he will fuck up anybody who steps to him and will r. kelly anybody's verse. Rating 4.5/5

Cardiac - Probably one of the best beats on the entire album. The sample was used perfectly to go along with the drums and kicks. This song features Sean Price on the opening verse, Buckshot on the second, and Flood on the third. Rustee Juxx lets everyone know what the songs is about on the hook:
"This that hard body shit,
pump shotty shit,
niggas shootin the party over a bitch shit..."

Rating: 4/5

Stop - Again another of my favorite beats on the album. The beat has a simple drumline accompanied by a shaker with a nicely used sample. My copy of the album seems like the sample is a little too low for my personal taste but maybe my copy is fucked up? Anyways, Sean Price again uses battle rhymes to talk on varying subjects from fucking up a dude to getting black people to unite.
"Straight hell is what I give a brother,
Smack the ******* call em Dru Ha nigga lover."

Rating: 4/5

Violent - Hey what do you know? Another dope beat produced by 9th wonder. This song is pretty funny because the melodic beat and sample make you think that the song is gonna be a love song. But Sean P is not known for making bitch music so he instead raps about how he loves violence. Who would rhyme whop ba ba loo bop the womp bomp boom? Sean P of course. It doesnt matter though the beat is smooth, the rhyme is hard just the way i like it bless the mic of the gods.

"This goes out to my brownsville crew, put your guns up in the air. dont kill me!
Buck em all day, buck em all night, we let off fo fo's!!!" Hahahahah

Rating: 4.5/5

Da God - Now with such a dope song title I was so hyped to hear this song, but I was disappointed. Sean P rhymes about everything imaginable and ending almost every bar with da god. Buckshot provides the hook on this song. The most disappointing part of this song is Sadat X's verse. I am one of Sadat's bigget fans and believe him to be one of the greatest lyricists ever, but Sadat comes so whack on this song its not even funny. I had to double check the credits to make sure it was really Sadat X... it was. The only thing that I really liked about this song were the skratches at the end of the song.

Rating: 2.5/5

Oops Upside Your Head - A simplistic beat using violins and a synthesizer. This is one of my least favorit songs. Sean P and Steele dont rhyme any memorable lines and its pretty disappointing.

Rating: 2/5

Church - This song is produced by Tommy Tee. The beat is pretty weak in my opinion its basically a synthesizer along with an extremely simple piano loop. The hook/sample is annoying as fuck, i believe the singer is called the Loudmouf Choir. It kinda sounds like that dude on old school that rhymes with Snoop Dogg, Supafly or some shit. Anyways the shit is whack imo. Sean at least goes hard at the beat using his usual ill wordplay and Rock provides some rhymes along with him.

Rating - 3/5

King Kong - One of my favorite songs on the album. The beat is the opposite of church, it makes you wanna body a faggot just for looking wrong at you. Sean Price rhymes about various things from male groupie dudes who wanna get in the flick to Assata Shakur. Rock provides a dope hook as well. This song basically embodies everything you would expect from a Heltah Skeltah track.

Rating - 5/5

One - This beat is produced very well. I love the breakdowns after every four bars and the rhyming style. Sean flows well over the beat and reminds everyone of the Heltah Skeltah days. Only negative I have is that the song is too damn short.

Rating - 5/5

You Already Know - This is another nice beat with another soulful sample. Who got more rhymes than P? *crickets* Yup thats right Sean flows nicely again and Skyzoo provides the hook.

Director's Cut - This song has a nice theme throughout where Sean makes fun of a director directing a stereotypical hip hop video.

"Alright in this scene the rapper disses you, here's the gun and.... Action!"

The beat is nice and Sean does a good job of rhyming on it.

Rating - 4/5

Let It Be Known - This is a Justus League/BCC collaborating song featuring Phonte of LB and Sean. Phonte probably has the best guest appearance on this whole album. This is a dope song, only negative is the hook is annoying.

Rating - 4/5

Hearing Aid - This is a dope song that lets you know who you listening to, Sean P. the beat is very dope and I love the introduction sample. Chaundon provides the hook and a pretty weak guest verse. Sean rhymes nicely but faulters in some spots.

Rating 3.5/5

Mess You Made - This is a dope outro song. The beat is really dope and features Block McCloud (Fuck Puerto Rico! ) Anyways Sean rhymes nicely about various things from being the brokest rapper that has to sell crack after the show to his son, Elijah. The song is also a reflection which Sean P thinks about all the mistakes he's made over the years.

"How you gonna be broke and your last name price?
Thats like sweating bullets and your last name ice"
"Slit my wrist with a knife or blade, damn look at the mess I made"

Rating - 5/5

Overall I think Ima give this album a 7.5/10. The album has a dope BCC vibe and Sean comes really strong on some tracks but the lack of subject matter and weak guest appearances are this album's cons. I would definetely suggest this album to any BCC fan and I enjoyed this album more than Monkey Bars. Peace.
