![]() 1. Crowd Pleasa 2. Natural Feel Good 3. Hold On 4. Live In The Flesh 5. Lights, Camera, Action! 6. That's How It Goes 7. Up In Da Spot! 8. Rock It Out! 9. Nuttin' To Lose 10. Gunblast 11. Blow Shit Up! (Army Edition) 12. What's My Name? 13. No Matter 14. The Unusual The Artifacts member El Da Sansei released his third solo album , called "The Unusual" . Album is very solid but also dont expect too much . No its not better than "between a rock & a hard place" or "that's them" but still its a solid album . And in my opinion its definitely one of the best rap albums of 06. From the opening track "Crowd pleasa" produced by Illmind , El Da Sensei starts rippin' it , his flow is great . Also we can hear inspectah deck on the hook but its just an accapela . Next tracks are "Natural feel good" and "Hold on" . Imo those are the most lyrical songs El' ever had . He showed his dopeness on em' . Next 5 tracks are great too . "Live In The Flesh" has the same sample that Az has on his song "Wanna Be There" . "That's How It Goes" is high octane, high energy party jam . On "Nuttin' To Lose prod. by FYRE DEPT" we got O.C on a feature . Both rappers are at the top of their game. Next 2 tracks hits hard also. Then we got "Whats my name?" , produced by DJ Revoliution , who also scratched there. It sounds like good mc+dj collabo. Then its a song "No Matter" with Sean Price . Track is of the chain . Beat has an electric guitar loop. Sean P comes hard on it . Album ends with a title track . It shows that El' isnt goin nowhere . His lyrics still are very strong and he choises dope producers . So Im ending this by saying that this album is must have for an underground hip hop fan . Its one of the best albums of 06. Im rating this 4.5/5 |

It's a good album, but I think you've overrated it. Even though there are a few joints that stand out, there's still a certain consistency of vibe I can undoubtedly appreciate. It was even qualitatively comparable to 'Relax, Relate, Release', but even that album wasn't as good as a 9/10. I would rather say 7/10 or 7.5/10 at most.
