Deep South Kid

This past Friday that is. I went to the best concert I've seen in my life. And the gig was from no one we speak off in this section, the concert was actually by The Mars Volta.
No band, (not just imo, but whatever), has that level of skill. Shit they opened the act with a song that runs for 7 minutes on the album, and they played for 40 minutes. Fourty minutes, one song, fuckdamn.
And I know I won't get the cosigness in this bitch, but I'm just saying, them dudes can play for more than 2 hours, without having to pause shit, not even between the songs, since the way they jammed, they just did musical transitions to switch from track to track.
So, maybe yall don't like them at all, maybe you would never check em out, but if you want to go to one of the best shows yall could witness, just try not to ignore the next time they play near you.

ps: If you're wondering 'I didn't know Deep was into that loud screaming punk shit', I'm not. Although they perform really loud, everything is in place, the guitar sounds godly, the drummer is like a dreadlocked slave that has to play for his freedom, the piano guy is Ray Charles on acid, the sax dude is just a genius, the voice sounds crystal clear, and so on. They perform new versions of songs that are on the albums, fusing music genres, at any song they can come up with a jazzy sounds out of nowhere and stuff like that.

pps: Shit, I wonder why do I spend my time writing about it, not only this shit is dead but also I'm talking about some shit that is irrelevant for most of yall.
